The new Eisely Sunflower Garden was planted near the windmill this week in honor of Loren Eisely, the Lincoln-raised anthropologist and nature writer whose childhood days wandering the grasses and sunflowers along Salt Creek shaped his life and work. 🌻

This garden was initiated by Tom Lynch of the Loren Eisely Society and planted by the small hands of preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students—exactly the kind of early connection with nature that can inspire curiosity for a lifetime.

When you donate to Prairie Pines Partners, 100% of your gift goes directly to Prairie Pines, supporting projects like this, free public access, conservation, educational programming, and nature-based experiences like the beloved Nature Ninja Course.
