JOURNAL STAR'S L MAGAZINE DISCONTINUING MONTHLY PUBLICATION, MERGING WITH NEIGHBORHOOD EXTRA, JOURNAL STAR PRINTED AND ONLINE PAGES

By Mark Schwaninger, L Magazine Editor

L Magazine has celebrated the good causes and good people that make this a great community. As its editor since 2011, I’ve been honored to help tell all these stories.

Beginning next month, we’ll be sharing those stories in a different way.

The important work of the area’s nonprofits and the philanthropic efforts and leaders behind them will go on, and we’ll continue to cover it, but that coverage will be moving into our weekly Neighborhood Extra section and into the daily pages – print and web – of the Journal Star.

By discontinuing our monthly magazine, which was distributed in Lincoln home-delivered newspapers and copies on newsstands and moving the content into daily editions of the Journal Star, we can share these important stories with a bigger audience – print and digital subscribers wherever they are – and we can do it faster.

We will be looking to add features, as well, like online photo galleries from charitable events and relevant video content.

I'M STILL YOUR CONTACT
I will remain the point of contact for the type of content that appeared in L Magazine, and I look forward to sharing these stories and new ones about things that make the Good Life in Nebraska even better in and around Lincoln. Email me with your story ideas at [email protected] or call me at 402-473-2644.
