Andersen Racing #94

After the races Sunday, Kendall turned some laps in the blue plate wing. She wanted to start practicing and getting a feel for this kart, in preparation for next season.

She caught on quickly and really let er rip! 💪🏼🤘🏼

Day 2 of racing on the weekend, today at Little Buckaroos:

Payten:
Heat 1: 5th ➡️ 1st
Heat 2: 2nd ➡️ 1st
Feature: 1st ➡️ 1st 🏁🏆🧹

Kendall:
Heat 1: 4th ➡️ 2nd
Heat 2: 2nd ➡️ 2nd
Feature: 3rd ➡️ 3rd 🥉

Another day at the track with good, hard fought battles all the way around!

Kendall lost her chain twice in her first heat but was able to drive her way back to a second place finish, after being sent to the tail for pulling out the caution. The top 3 karts in the kiddie kart feature all crossed the line, just within margins of each other - it was a fun race and she ultimately finished 3rd!

Payten ran great, earning a clean sweep on the day! The feature event kept us all on our toes as she trailed the leader all race long. She was patient and found her opportunity to make a move just before the white flag was shown. The caution flew shortly after, causing the race to be completed and her claiming the win!

Today was definitely a learning experience as it was by far the driest, smallest track the girls have ever raced on 😵‍💫

Payten and Reese had another fun day of hard, clean racing with Reese sweeping the day - congrats on your wins Reese! Payten took all 2’s on the day 🥈

Kendall struggled but showed improvement with each race. She started 4th in her feature and came across the line in 3rd 🥉

Keep on diggin! 💪🏼

It’s so fun to watch the kids have fun and race hard - thats really what it’s all about! Payten and Reese Scray battled hard today, but they also show each other respect out on the track - waiting for their opportunities and taking them clean when they were there. True sportsmanship and racers!
