Moving forward on one of the country's longest runways! Lincoln Airport

Lincoln Airport's 12,901-foot runway is getting a facelift, as crews finish tearing out one of the nation's longest airstrips in what project engineer Dan Green said is about "maintenance." ⤵️ Find a link to the story in the comments.

It was a great day celebrating the LNK Runway 18/36 Reconstruction Project!

As work continues to gain momentum, attendees heard updates and remarks from several key Nebraska leaders, including U.S. Sen Deb Fischer, Sen Eliot Bostar, and Major General Craig Strong. Project updates were also shared by Lincoln Airport's Chad Lay and Rachel Barth, along with Constructors Project Manager Eric Anderson, who provided an overview of the progress being made on the runway.

We're always proud to work in our home city, but today we're especially proud to be back with LNK and to be part of a project that will serve Lincoln and Nebraska for years to come.

While Project O Street brings some temporary closures and detours, our local shops and restaurants are still fully operating. Navigating the streets might take an extra minute, but supporting our neighborhood businesses is always worth it!

Today we remember and reflect on the service and sacrifice of the men and women who gave everything for our country. Their legacy will be remembered today and always.

Wednesday, we continued sidewalk paving on the east side of 14th St between O and N. Crews are prioritizes ensuring customers have access to all businesses in the area, and as we improve these sidewalks, we are excited to give the community a product that is safe and beautiful
