I dusted off my makin’ boots and did some makin’ this morning 🥰😆

Things in the office have been slow, for good reason! We took in some kids a few months ago as fosters. Our hands and hearts and laundry piles are FULL. But these song lyrics, a custom order, were good for me to reflect on as I made it.

Somewhere around 1979, a babička made this quilt for my mom. “Baba” is now gone, but lots of years and lots of love later, some new life has been breathed into it—in the form of Christmas stockings 🧦

I had the pleasure of putting this sweet bear together. This dad and mom wanted to remember the birth of their son by making a bear out of special clothing and even the scrub top that dad wore for the delivery!

A best friend was given new life this morning 🥰

I found a MAGIC quilt top at a garage sale recently. I added backing and had it longarm quilted, and bound it with coral binding. I wasn’t sure why I chose these colors until I was close to finishing it. It reminds me of our wedding day, in mid-November 2016 out at the Wehmeyer farm. My bridesmaids wore coral flannel shirts. All of that AND it’s snuggle-approved! 🤩🤎💛🩷💚 (photo from our wedding day for reference 🥰)
