Lacking luster/ but forged from flames known to scorch men/ A king who fails and falls/the walls will close in /Mistakes are not the man/they provide inside insight to growing men/ If I arrive this time/let me relish my moment/ Detours got me tired/ but the pressure made a diamond/ now I rise with focus/ maybe chosen/ Scarred from post-convicted thoughts like an omen/ Still I script my truth in pain/ each bar like a token/ Silence in my steps/ but the echoes feel the coldest/ Carried all my guilt in a grin/no one seems to notice/ Played my hand too long/ but eyes stayed open/ Cut the dead weight loose/to create a road worth loving/ Built from scars and sweat/ this path don’t make me proud/ Living to matter for something/ not to blend in a crowd/ Feel like I’m outta myself/ watching life through a lens now/ Spirit been stretched out/ time for it to bend now!!!
