A little labor day car repairs, I should have just replaced it all for as far as i had to take it apart. Did both lower control arms on each side. I changed the inner and outer right tie rod a bit ago, need an alignment still. I am real tired of working on stuff right now lol.

Protect your balls!
Not sure what I did different. I put the battery in, pumped the throttle and saw fuel squirting out. I advanced the timing a little bit and it started up. I ran it for a few minutes. I got a little nervous that the thermostat might not be opening up. Unfortunately I think there might be some issues with the outdrive.

the motor is finally bolted into the boat. I am slowly getting all the hoses and wiring sorted out. I didn’t remove this engine and have never worked on a boat.
There is a shift linkage that i believe is supposed to interrupt spark when shifted between forward and reverse. no idea yet where that mounts. I have a mystery plug that goes to something I can’t find. It has a few pins and the distributor wiring goes to it, so probably pretty important.
I don’t even know if this motor will run, and I have a ton of stuff to figure out before I can try it.

And facebook marketplace provides again. $125 for both of these gems. The small cart is $130 new, the toolbox/cart is $280 new. These are used of course. The toolbox/cart is a lifesaver lol.

It doesn’t look like it but this is a race car. It’s already looking a bit different. Next season I plan on hitting the dirt tracks in this.

Spent my 4th putting actual ac in the shop, no more window unit. Air handler and coil were free off marketplace. Outdoor unit is one I had saved from when I did residential hvac. Lineset is left over from when I put the heat pump in the upstairs of my house.
It’s not to any code, but it isn’t going to burn my shop down. I was hoping to save some amps, but it about breaks even by the time I had to run the window unit and two fans.
In the future I will run some ductwork in the ceiling truss’s, but for now this will do.
