Visiting a hero on Memorial Day?

🪖 Coins left on veterans’ graves are a tradition to honor the deceased, with each coin carrying a specific meaning:
🪙 Penny: A simple gesture of respect or gratitude, often indicating someone visited the grave to pay respects.
🪙 Nickel: Signifies the visitor trained with the veteran at boot camp or a military training school.
🪙 Dime: Indicates the visitor served with the veteran in some capacity, such as in the same unit or during the same deployment.
🪙 Quarter: Means the visitor was present when the veteran died, often in combat or during service.

🇺🇸 This practice, rooted in military tradition, is a way to leave a token of remembrance and connection.
