Deb's Dogs

Waiting since 10/29/2025 - Meet Roxie, a beautiful terrier mix pup. Roxie was rescued from a very sad situation. She had 7 pups who were also rescued. Roxie loves attention because she was deprived of attention for so long. Once she bonds with you she will be your best friend always. She will be fine with another dog her size as long as proper introductions are made. She has not been around cats. Roxie will require a secure fenced in yard when she is out to play.

We are a small rescue located in Lima, Ohio that solely relies on the generosity of fosters. If you are interested in Roxie, please email [email protected] or call 419-204-6157! Inquiries will not be adressed on Facebook as Deb and her volunteers are out in the field 24/7.

Cats are who you allow them to be. Meet Reese!🐾

Another rescue (Deb's Dogs) asked if I could evaluate and work with her for a couple weeks. She's a 4/5-month-old kitten who was adopted with her mom, but was later returned for being "feral" and biting a man. Cats don't attack unless they're ill or misread/mistreated, and to me it seems this girl's latest home may not have been right for her. She purrs, eats, meows, and plays in front of me. She also accepts gentle touch with my trusty tester tool, but will sometimes hiss and can't decide if my nearest hand is a threat or a toy (she's about to swat in this photo).❤️‍🩹 I'll teach her that hands bring food and her fave kind of scratches. And I'll definitely need to reintroduce her to the concept of "man" (not my favorite either, girlfriend!) and show her that some can be trusted.🫶🏼

Help me wish her luck! If you'd like to donate towards her care, please reach out and I'll connect you with her rescue.🙏🏼

Waiting since 07/10/2026 - Meet Maggie, a beautiful scottish terrier mix dog. When Maggie was first rescued she was so underweight and scared. Now months later she is doing great. Maggie will take a little time to warm up when you first meet her, but will be fine once she gets to know you. She will get along well with another dog her size after proper introductions are made. She does fine with cats too. Please consider adopting Maggie and making her part of your family.

Waiting since 05/01/2026 - I would like to introduce this beautiful dog to you. Her name is Luna and she is approximately 2 years old. When Luna was first rescued she was in sad shape. After a lot of TLC and vet care she is doing wonderful now. Luna loves people! The perfect home for her would be one where she is the only pet. She does not care for other animals. Luna would love a home with a secure fenced in yard when she is out to play.

Did you know all mammals are capable of being infected with and transmitting rabies? Even cute cuddly ones like kittens! In recent years, cats have become the most common domestic animal infected with rabies because many cat owners do not vaccinate their cats, and cats can be exposed to rabid wildlife, either outdoors or when bats get into the house.

Here are 6️⃣ ways you can prevent this disease and protect yourself and your animals. Visit avma.org/Rabies to learn more.
