Last Saturday, we had the opportunity to sponsor a golf outing for baby Lincoln. Lincoln was born with a bilateral cleft palate and Pierre Robin Sequence (PRS). PRS is diagnosed with three factors: a small jaw, breathing obstruction, tongue falling back. This caused Lincoln to have extreme breathing and feeding issues that kept him in the NICU for over 3 months as well as not forming both the hard and soft palate. At the end of June he had a surgery called mandibular distraction osteogenesis to move his bottom jaw and inch forward to allow for room to breathe. As time goes on he will have another surgery to remove all the hardware put in place to split his jaw and move it forward. He will also have surgery to repair his cleft palate around age 1.
Anyone wanting to help donate to Lincoln’s family can reach out to us and we will get you in contact with his parents Korbin and Emily. Please continue praying for Lincoln and the rest of the family 💚💛

Had the great honor of sponsoring the Fairways Fore Jayda golf outing. Our mission has always been to support the lives of babies in our area and Jayda’s story was very heartwarming to us.
A big thank you to Technical Roofing for putting this together and supporting families who need it the most!

This can be very dangerous for infants. Please wash your hands before handling any of your child’s food. Also make sure to wash all produce before giving it to your child.
The Auglaize County Health Department is currently investigating an increase in gastrointestinal illness cases impacting Auglaize County residents. Some of these cases are caused by a parasite called Cyclospora.
To reduce your risk of Cyclosporiasis:
Wash Your Hands - hand washing should be for no less than 20 seconds with soap and using running water.
Wash All Produce - produce, including from farmers markets, home gardens, and grocery stores should be washed and scrubbed under running cool water.
If you have questions about Cyclosporiasis, reach out to our communicable disease team at 419-738-3410 or contact us on our website: auglaizehealth.org.
