Jesus taught His followers to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) But what does it look like to live that out? Jesus tells us how in His Sermon on the Mount. He reveals the values and priorities of God’s Kingdom and calls His followers to live transformed lives on earth today.
At the 2026 Deep South Youth Conference, students will step away from the noise of the world to hear Jesus’ words personally and grow in their faith. They will discover what it looks like to live “Here as in Heaven”.
Come ready for the teaching of God’s Word, worship, and the long-awaited clash for the Death Ball Trophy! Sign up your group TODAY!

When the British government hired an artist to paint the portrait of Oliver Cromwell, the painter noticed an ugly wart over the leader’s right eye. He wanted to enhance Cromwell’s image, so he left off the wart.
But when the portrait was unveiled, Cromwell was upset. Rather than appreciating the artist’s efforts, he ordered the wart added to his portrait. He wanted to be seen “warts and all” - coining a phrase we still use.
Yet this has always been the Bible’s approach. One proof of the Bible’s inspiration is how it treats its heroes. Works of antiquity rarely depicted the good guys in an unfavorable light. Historical touch-ups were commonplace. In fact, become too honest about the ruler in power, he might just silence the author.
But the Bible’s writers painted their subjects “warts and all.” Rather than gloss over blemishes and blunders, they hung them on the line for all to see.
The Bible is brutally honest about its heroes... Noah got drunk, Moses was angry, Abraham lied, Elijah got scared, and Peter was prideful. And David, the man after God’s own heart, was guilty of lust, deceit, adultery, manipulation, and murder.
King David could command a kingdom, yet he couldn’t rule his own children.

The Best Deterrent to Sin.
Notice, David is guilty of lust, deceit, greed, pride, and murder, but the sin God addresses first is ingratitude. Behind all sin is a spirit of thanklessness.
God is so good to us! We thank Him by our obedience. To disobey God is nothing but sheer ingratitude.
This is why the best deterrent to sin is a heart overflowing with thanks. The more grateful you are to God, the more you’ll want to live a life pleasing to Him.
