We are very proud of our road representative and friend David Hall for receiving not only the KMEA District 8 Friend of Music Award this year, but also the KMEA Friend of Music Award for the entire state! David works hard every day to deliver supplies and repairs to and from schools, and is a huge asset to our business at Hurst Music! David’s skills go beyond delivery and pickup of supplies and instruments; he is a master saxophonist and veteran performing artist, which allows him to share a wealth of knowledge (and great stories) with all of us at the store, as well as with his many students over the years.

We had a great first day at KMEA yesterday. Great to see so many teachers and students! Come by the booth if you haven’t already! We love seeing everyone!

If you feel like braving the elements today, we will be open until 4pm. The roads are still very icy, so please be careful if you are going to try and make it over.

Due to the ongoing winter storm in our area, and out of an abundance caution for the safety of our patrons and staff, we have decided that we will be closed on Monday January 26th. We plan to reopen Tuesday at 10am, assuming road conditions improve. Please continue to stay safe and hopefully we will see you on Tuesday.

Due to incoming inclement weather, we will likely be closing early on Saturday, January 24th. Please call the store before coming over, in the event that we have already closed. Please stay safe this weekend!
