MISSING LOCAL CHILD

MISSING PERSON INVESTIGATION-The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for a missing 12-year-old female juvenile. The missing person’s name is Zayona Yort, Hispanic female, 4 feet 11 inches in height and weight is 85 pounds. Yort will have black hair and brown eyes. Yort was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans with Croc shoes. She was last seen on April 8, 2026, at 2:30 a.m., at a residence on New Jersey Church Road, Lexington, North Carolina. A missing person report was filed with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office today at approximately 11:00 a.m. Please contact the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office with any information to help locate Yont.

As a result of significant winter weather and a monumental snow event for our school community this weekend, Davidson County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 2 for students and staff. Tomorrow will NOT be a remote learning day. All extracurricular activities are cancelled. 12 month employees please reach out to your immediate supervisor for more information.
