Join us every Wednesday at noon for our Women’s Group—a welcoming space to connect, grow, and be inspired. Enjoy meaningful conversation with other women, hear from engaging guest speakers, and relax with food and drinks. This week's speaker is Danielle Sanders from the City of Lexington's Community & Resident Services. Attendees receive a small gift after the meeting, and helpful resources are available. We’d love to have you! All women are welcome!

This emergency sleeping bag is the kind of thing Connections gives away. In fact, this winter we have given away over 100 of these. They cost us $4.75 and we buy them in bulk and try to never run out. We ask people if they are on the street. If they say "Yes" we show them one of these and ask if they have one. Most do not know what it is. We tell them it could save their lives because if used (usually inside their sleeping bag) it will keep in over 90% of their body heat. One young man told us a week ago that it had saved his life a few years ago. Little things can mean a lot. If we are set up at Lighthouse Ministries we always take at least ten with us and Voices Of Hope-Lexington, Inc., and others pass them out for us as well. Heat The Street!

🙏 💗 🙏

Took this picture of a happy couple that is homeless and is regular for lunch at Lighthouse Ministries. Great to see things going well for them.

We pass out Connection supplies every Wednesday at Lighthouse Ministries and Thursday at Goodwill. We also supply Voices Of Hope-Lexington, Inc. and Maxwell St. Presbyterian with laundry vouchers and supplies in our Heat the Street emphasis this winter.

Today we passed out: 2 sturdy athletic bags ($23 each), 20 pairs of gloves, 12 flashlights, 4 pairs of socks, 30 large 12 Hr. Hot Hands, 14 pairs of thermal underwear (men & women), and 3 mylar emergency shelters. Somedays we give out twice this much.

It is so great to see them smile. It is the best day of my week.

All donations go to the street. To donate by Venmo or other go to www.connectionslex.org
