✏️Sign up: Lung Cancer Screening Day is on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon at UK Good Samaritan Hospital, second floor. (Enter through the main entrance at 310 S. Limestone.) This event offers a quick, convenient, low-dose CT lung cancer screening. 🫁

You may qualify if:
✅ You’re 50 to 80 years old
✅ Have a smoking history of one pack a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years
✅ Currently smoke or quit within the past 15 years
⭐Physician referral is required.⭐ Screening is covered by most insurances.

The annual Pulaski County Health, Wellness & Resource Fair, co-presented by Kentucky Cancer Program- East and Somerset Junior Woman's Club, is THIS Saturday at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset from 9:00 AM to Noon! Along with multiple FREE health and wellness services, we will be offering FREE skin cancer checks-ups AND information about the Kentucky Women's Cancer Screening Program, to***co cessation, and other cancer prevention and screening! Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital will be registering women for mammograms; and HPV vaccinations through Walgreens will also be available for children and adults at no cost with most insurance providers.
