CD Central

The torch has been passed! Our old place is now in the hands of new folks who have revived a name from the past: Cut Corner Records. The former CD Central staff is working there too! They're still in the process of rearranging things but the shop is open for business now, check it out and support your local record store!

Glad to help out local non-profits as we wind down. Poster inventory went to the Lexington Center for Creative ReUse, and DVD inventory went to Friends of the Lexington Public Library.

Today we're saying goodbye and that calls for cake! We're going to cut into it around 2pm, come have a slice!

For about 10 years, Zena was our official "store dog". Her favorite activities were getting belly rubs and sleeping. We still miss her a lot.

So many shows over the past 30 years, where do we even begin? From local artists just starting out, to veterans with international stature, it's been an honor to host everyone here at the store. In-stores, July 4 and Memorial Day parties, Record Store Day showcases, it's all been fun! These photos are just a small sampling, thanks to all who have played here!

We owe a big debt of gratitude to all the local artists and illustrators who've contributed to the "look and feel" of CD Central over the years, with signage, original art, T-shirt designs, posters and more. Lexington is a hotbed of artistic talent!
