We're excited to be settled into one of Lexington's most exciting new neighborhoods on North Forbes Road, surrounded by a community we've helped shape.

40 years in, and we're still building. 🏗️

Our President, Jordan Haney, reflects on where Thoroughbred started, from our early days alongside Toyota in Georgetown to projects across Kentucky and beyond, and how our team has grown along the way.

Today we're a full-service architecture and engineering firm in Lexington, KY, taking projects from concept to completion under one roof.

KY LEAGUE OF CITIES | The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) is a nonprofit membership organization that supports Kentucky city governments, elected officials, and municipal employees. It provides legislative advocacy, legal guidance, training, insurance, financing options, and community development assistance.

KLC gives cities a stronger collective voice and access to expertise they may not have in-house. KLC represents their interests in Frankfort while helping local leaders solve problems, manage resources, and better serve residents—especially valuable for smaller cities with limited staff and budgets.

Every great project starts with a vision. The Commons started with Daren's idea to build something Kentucky hadn't seen before, and we were proud to help bring it to life.

From architectural design to construction, our team handles every step in-house. That's what design-build means at Thoroughbred: one team and one shared vision, with a partner by your side from the first drawing to the ribbon cutting.

REMEMBER 🇺🇸 Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of the first responders and everyday Americans who answered tragedy with extraordinary strength.

We also remember a city rebuilding—not only its skyline, but its spirit. Over the past 25 years, architects, engineers, builders, public servants, and countless others have helped create new connections and restore hope from unimaginable loss.

Because rebuilding is about more than steel and concrete. It is about resilience, community, and moving forward together—without ever forgetting.
