Thank you all for being here and I can't wait to bring you my next book!

I figured with the influx of new followers, it's time to refocus, rebrand, and put together a new profile for everyone to see that's a little bit more polished! Plus, I figured an appropriate meet. The author post was more than overdue.

I am a self-published author who writes mainly in science fiction. I also like to include thriller aspects, horror aspects and adventure stories with a little bit of romance in my writing.

I live in the great state of Kentucky and enjoy very much being in the rural area.

I am married to my best friend and have two wonderful children whom I love very dearly.

I am an avid lover of animals and have a dog and four cats in my house.

I am a proponent of using love and humor to reach as many people as possible. Sometimes the best medicine is a good laugh, even if it is at my expense.

My favorite movie tends to flip-flop between The Empire Strikes Back and Interstellar.

I have a lot of favorite books, but some of my most favorite are Ender's Game, Project Hail Mary, the Seafort Saga, and Hyperion.

Growing up, I loved music and played both the piano and the cello.

Thank you so much for following along my writing journey, and I appreciate each and every one of my followers. I enjoy every connection and I enjoy every interaction!

Here's a few fun facts about me that I think you might appreciate!

I love music in all aspects. There are many different types that I like, but I especially love classical, instrumental, soundtracks, and what I would call epic music. A lot of times, these are the types of music that help me write.

I grew up loving Star wars and continuously tout that as my first cultural love in both movies and literature. I actually wrote a paper on Darth Vader as an archetype of a hero in a mythologies class in college.

Some of my other loves include bourbon, landscaping, gardening, and working on all sorts of projects that I can think of whether they be book projects, home improvement projects, work projects, and all sorts of different things. Things. Needless to say, I like being busy.

I grew up playing ice hockey and actively root for the Chicago Blackhawks.

I attended college at both Montana State University and the University of Kentucky. Both schools I very much root for in sports!

My ideal weekend is staying home and being with my family along with eating some good food.

Thanks again for checking out my profile and I hope you enjoy the books that I've written!

With my current job and my time that I spend traveling to different states and different places, a lot of my writing happens in airports and on planes and in hotels. If you haven't tried writing in a public place or in an uncomfortable place where you are not in your element, I highly encourage you to do so. It gives a lot of different perspectives and forces you to adapt to your environment, which can have some profound effects on your writing.

I think it goes without saying that as a writer. You should challenge yourself in a lot of different ways. Whether it be writing in a different genre, whether it be exactly as I defined above with writing in a different environment, whatever it is, try to push yourself to be greater. Now that's not to say that I have perfected my art and then I am a great writer, I'm still trying to figure this out as I go. However, my experience so far with writing and now having a book that I published leads to some experiences I have encountered that I can at least tell people about.

At the end of the day, you are your own writer. You right for you. However, you write that works for you, awesome. We should all be encouraging each other and building each other up as we try to write our stories that we want to tell. Your stories matter. No matter your background, your creed, your beliefs, and where you stand, your stories are important. Go tell them!

Fates of Rebels and Men, the first book in The Karajan Saga, is my debut novel! It's a science fiction thriller that is the beginning of a great series I've been working on for some time. The idea came nearly a year or so ago as a sort of writing project that developed into a full-fledged series.

This was the first time that I was able to sit down and actually commit to this. I'm very proud of this story and I'm excited to see where this goes!

I primarily write in science fiction, and both this book and this book series exist in that genre. There are elements of thriller stories, some romance, grand conspiracy, along with adventure and action. I of course am the writer and would be prone to saying this, but go check this book out if you're looking for a new science fiction story! While it may be my first, I am very confident and the story that I've written and think you would absolutely enjoy it.

The biggest push for this story was the focus on family, purpose, and standing for what you believe in. More of that will absolutely be explored in other books in this series, but this book was to stand as the precipice for the series to define the characters, define the goal, set up the environment, and define where this adventure is going to lead.

Each character created in the story represents an aspect or a personality trait that I wanted to bring the light in this story and they are all very near and dear to my heart. I of course have some favorites though 😂

Through companionship, through romance, through a sense of being in the universe, and for recognizing when things may be wrong and what you should do about it, the story represents a lot of things that I have dealt with in my life, that I have thought through, and how I think about things as it applied to me when I experienced it.

Book overview

On the moon of Delight, Ammon Karajan stumbles upon a fire burning in a field from a crashed starship. A machine alien delivers an unknown message, leaving Ammon reeling with questions about his future.

Lieutenant Samuel H.C. Packett is assigned by the Commonwealth Intelligence Core on Augustein to prepare for something profound for all mankind: a deep secret of great importance, known only to Packett in small details. There’s a problem, however–Ammon found something he wasn’t supposed to, and it is now Packett’s duty to bring Ammon to Augustein.

Rebellion runs amiss beneath the city of Opalin on Delight. Destinies are altered. Conspiracy is uncovered. As the Galactic Commonwealth of Earth prepares for total war from a sudden attack, the future of Delight and its residents are thrown into question. Things are not as they initially seemed. Both men race against the clock–one to survive with a rebel commander named Joanna, the other to find his target and make it back home alive.

Amidst the war and chaos, destiny is found through those who give them the will to continue. The future of humanity may lie with the woman Ammon begins to fall for, and the fates of rebels and men may depend on their survival

While I may have alluded to this project at the very beginning of my Instagram creation, I am now fully prepared to at least make it a main staple of my profile! This is a great story that I have a lot of Hope for and really appreciate how this is shaping up.

Think of an environment with elements from sci-fi horrors like Alien and Contagion along with many similar aspects to wonderful stories like project Hail Mary. Set in the near future, an esteemed microbiologist will have to deal with his own horrors in his personal life to confront an even greater horror in the darkness of space.

A pursuit for greater knowledge may lead to humanity's undoing. The question proposed throughout this book: should the unknown be known?

As this new project takes a greater and greater stance, I'm extremely excited to put into perspective my thoughts on this book! I love this story and the characters it defines. It tackles some dark subjects but projects a light on continuing forward even when all hope is lost.

The design is to also focus on how to process dark events in a life and how to focus on what you know, belief in God, and facing incredible odds of survival in an unknown environment.

It will be a stand alone novel, separate from the Karajan Saga that I have already began with my first book. But I think that will make it even more profound. It will carry with it a greater sense of purpose and a defined theme from start to finish without any sort of continued action beyond this book.

I'll slowly release more and more about this book, of course through reels through other information, stories, and things. But for right now, you just have an announcement that a new science fiction horror is coming!

11/09/2024

One of my biggest inspirations for writing in the realm I do involves life experiences. I know a lot of people write stories revolving around characters, but I tend to write with a focus on a bigger picture.

Every book I've written and ones that I'm writing right now revolve around questions in life, experiences, and how to process them. Many of those come from a Christian aspect. Now, the books I may right might not mention explicitly a faith aspect, but I can stand here today and proclaim that every part of my stories revolves around my faith. Even the horror stories.

At the end of each book, my goal is to leave my readers with a sense of a greater purpose and a definition of a strong basis to handle their own life experiences through a faith based viewpoint. If I can accomplish that, then I consider myself successful.
