Vision-Aid successfully hosted its first national conference, Vision Beyond Sight 2026, bringing together experts, educators, rehabilitation professionals, healthcare leaders, technologists, NGOs, and advocates from across India to discuss innovative solutions for empowering persons with visual impairment.
The conference focused on building collaborative and inclusive ecosystems through low vision care, rehabilitation, assistive technology, inclusive education, skill development, and employment readiness. Together, we explored pathways to create a more accessible, independent, and inclusive future for all.

Vision-Aid is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sankara Eye Hospital, Bengaluru, marking a significant step towards expanding access to vision rehabilitation services, low vision care, assistive technology, and capacity-building opportunities for persons with visual impairment.
This collaboration will focus on enhancing rehabilitation services, increasing access to assistive devices and low vision aids, promoting outreach and awareness initiatives, and facilitating online learning and advanced training programs.

During Low Vision Awareness Month 2026, Vision-Aid collaborated with leading hospitals and organizations to promote greater awareness, early identification, and improved support for individuals with low vision. Through interactive sessions, community engagement, and professional discussions with institutions such as Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Aravind Eye Hospital, Sankara Nethralaya, and Infosys, these initiatives highlighted the importance of timely referral, rehabilitation services, and accessible support systems for people with visual impairment.
The activities also encouraged stronger collaboration between healthcare professionals, institutions, and communities to improve access to low vision care and rehabilitation services.
