In contrast to other gene editing platforms, piggyBac allows integrating large or small transgenes with no decrease in stability or efficiency.
For example, we've demonstrated that piggyBac can work efficiently beyond 250kb+ in size including full BAC artificial chromosomes. Hera regularly creates vectors between 10kb and 25 kb for many clients.

How do you decide whether to use a cell line xenograft or PDX?
At Hera, we can assist with choosing between cancer cell lines and PDX when designing studies. We believe that PDXs are an extremely important tool, but because of the added cost and longer timeline, we often recommend successfully demonstrating in vivo drug efficacy with a standard cell line xenograft model.
