🐾🤍 Meet Anna – The Tiny, Talkative Dilute Calico! 🤍🐾

📍 Location: Lexington, SC
🐱 Name: Anna
🎂 Age: 8 weeks (DOB: 8/8/26)
🐾 Breed: DLH – Dilute Calico
♀️ Female

🩺 Spayed/Neutered/Shots: 1 round of FVRCP; dewormed, microchipped & UTD on flea/heartworm prevention.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: Good with everything she's met! Since she was born here, new environments are a BIG change for these babies, so they can be a little overwhelmed, shy or hissy at first. Give them time to adjust and their personalities come back out!

⚠️ Aggression or medical issues?: None known.

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Mom was surrendered very pregnant and gave birth here.

🥰 Personality:

Once Anna gets comfortable, she is VERY friendly and has no problem being held — aside from the usual kitten wiggles! 😂

She is the MOST vocal of her litter and always has something to say. If you're looking for a kitten who will happily provide commentary on everything happening around her, Anna may be your girl! 😂

She loves playing with her kitty siblings and has all the normal playful kitten energy you'd expect from an 8-week-old baby. 🤍

📩 Message/email if interested! Please include Anna's name in your message, as I have a lot of rescue animals currently looking for homes.

🏡 Adoption application & contract required to ensure a good home and completion of remaining vetting: 2 more FVRCP vaccines, Rabies & spay.

🐾🧡 Meet Hank – The Cocker Spaniel Who Knows No Stranger! 🧡🐾

📍 Location: Lexington, SC
🐶 Name: Hank
🎂 Age: ~2 years (DOB ~9/14/23)
🐕 Breed: Purebred English Cocker Spaniel – AKC registered, but we don't have the papers
⚖️ 24.5 lbs | ♂️ Male

🩺 Neutered; UTD on Rabies, DHLPP & Bordetella; heartworm negative; UTD on flea/heartworm prevention; dewormed & microchipped. Currently recovering from neuter/hernia repair.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: GREAT with all!

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Owner surrender.

🚪 House/crate trained: Yes! May have an accident or two while adjusting to a new routine.

🥰 Personality:

Hank is VERY sweet, extremely friendly, and knows no stranger. Everyone who has met him has commented that he's one of the best-behaved Cocker Spaniels they've ever met!

He walks well with only light pulling, has surprisingly low prey drive, and hasn't shown interest in chasing cats. He LOVES attention, pets, toys and WATER! 🌊😂 He doesn't destroy his toys either.

He arrived extremely matted but did GREAT for grooming overall. He wasn't a fan of having his feet touched, understandably, but handled it well. He doesn't necessarily need professional grooming as long as his coat is consistently brushed and maintained at home.

⚠️ BUT... while Hank sounds like sunshine and rainbows, PLEASE remember that he is a HUNTING BREED. He is NOT a low-energy lap dog. He has real exercise and enrichment needs that must be met DAILY. Without an appropriate outlet, unwanted behaviors can develop. He needs exercise, play, mental stimulation and an active lifestyle.

He also has a touch of separation anxiety. If he's let out and I'm not outside with him, he'll often scratch and whine at the door because he wants to be with his people. It's not severe, but adopters should be prepared to work on it.

Hank has never been an only dog, so we're unsure how he'd do as the sole dog.

He's currently recovering from his neuter and hernia repair, but once healed, this goofy, affectionate boy will be ready for his forever home! 🧡

📩 Message/email if interested! Please include Hank's name in your message.

🐾💗 Meet Trix – The Sweetest Little 7 lb Lap Dog! 💗🐾

📍 Location: Lexington, SC
🐶 Name: Trix
🎂 Age: ~3 years (DOB ~9/14/23)
🐕 Breed: Toy Poodle mix? – 7 lbs
♀️ Female

🩺 Spayed; UTD on Rabies, DHPP & Bordetella; heartworm negative & UTD on flea/heartworm prevention; dewormed & microchipped.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: GREAT with all of the above! The “worst” we've seen is that she stood her ground when another dog was being snappy with her.

⚠️ Aggression or medical issues?: No known aggression. Trix arrived with kennel cough, which has been treated. She has been symptom-free for the appropriate period, although we may send additional antibiotics home if her full course isn't completed before adoption.

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Pulled from Animal Control due to owner neglect.

🚪 House/crate trained: Yes! She doesn't really need a crate and will also use p*e pads.

🥰 Personality:

Trix is SUCH a sweet little girl. She is very cuddly, loves attention, has no problem being held, and listens really well.

She's also loyal off leash! She may occasionally wander a little, but the second I call her, she comes right back. ❤️

One of her cutest habits is standing up on her back legs when she wants attention or thinks treats might be involved. 😂

Trix arrived extremely matted and had to be sedated and shaved, so I haven't personally seen how she does with grooming yet. She does have a Poodle/Doodle-type coat, which means grooming is NOT optional. She will need professional grooming every 4–6 weeks PLUS regular brushing at home to prevent painful matting.

Overall, Trix is a tiny, affectionate, easygoing girl who would love nothing more than a family of her own. 💗

📩 Message/email if interested! Please include Trix’s name in your message, as I have a lot of rescue animals currently looking for homes.

🤍🐾 Meet Nora – Her Fairytale Ending Starts Here 🐾🤍
*NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*

📍 Location: Lexington, SC
🐶 Name: Nora
🎂 Age: ~4 years
🐕 Breed: Maremma Sheepdog mix (best guess)
⚖️ Weight: ~67 lbs
♀️ Female

Nora may look much older than she actually is right now, but she's only around 4 years old. She arrived extremely thin (BCS 3/9) with a very poor coat condition. She was clearly trying to survive however she could, including eating things she shouldn't, which is also evident from the wear on her front teeth.

But despite everything she's been through, Nora is incredibly sweet. ❤️

🚗 Loves car rides
🤍 Loves cuddling
🐕 Walks wonderfully on leash
🐾 Her previously ingrown rear dewclaws have been taken care of

We know so far that Nora is heartworm positive, has a mammary mass, and is intact.

Our plan is to get her spayed, remove the mammary mass, and then begin her heartworm treatment. The mass does not currently appear to be an immediate concern, so we'll address everything appropriately rather than rushing her through multiple procedures.

Once she's spayed, we'll get her posted for adoption. Her adopter can either complete the remaining medical care with their own veterinarian, or, if they're local to us, our vet can complete the remaining treatment at our expense.

Her coat is going to take TIME. Proper nutrition, gaining healthy weight, and allowing her body to recover will be a huge part of getting her coat — and the rest of her — back to where it should be.

Nora had been wandering Dragstrip Road for some time. Her rescue was truly a group effort: a bus driver posted about seeing her regularly, a local resident went out day after day trying to locate and catch her, and eventually secured her and passed her to us so we could get her the care she needed.

Thank you to everyone who helped get Nora off the streets and into safety. ❤️

We're just getting started, but I can't wait to watch this girl's transformation.

She deserves a full belly, a beautiful coat, a warm bed, and a family who will love her forever.

Nora's fairytale ending starts now. 🥹🤍🐾

🎯🐾 Dart Is Looking for His Furever Home Again! 🐾🎯

Sometimes rescue life doesn't go exactly as planned. 💔 Dart was adopted, but unfortunately, he's back with us and looking for his forever family again

📍 Location: Lexington, SC
🐶 Name: Dart
🎂 Age: ~6 years (but still acts like a puppy!)
🐕 Breed: English Pointer mix? His personality is very similar to the German Shorthaired Pointers I know, and after looking at pointer types, he looks almost identical to an English Pointer. Our vet agreed!
⚖️ Weight: 46 lbs
♂️ Male

🩺 Neutered, microchipped, UTD on Rabies & DHLPP, heartworm negative, dewormed & UTD on flea/heartworm prevention.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: Good with dogs, cats and every human he's met! He is VERY energetic, though, so he may be a bit much for very small children.

⚠️ Dart is food reactive with other dogs, so he is fed separately in his crate with no issues. He also has a cherry eye, but it does not cause him problems.

🏡 Found as a stray with an embedded collar. No owner could be located, so Dart came to us.

🚪 House/crate trained: Yes! He may try to mark initially but settles quickly.

❤️ About Dart:

Dart is one of those dogs who wants to be PART OF EVERYTHING. He is extremely friendly, energetic, affectionate and loves attention.

Even at ~6 years old, he has SO much puppy energy and life left in him! He loves toys, sticks and basically anything he can carry around. 😂 He walks decently well on leash and is incredibly loyal off leash. he naturally sticks close to his person and likes to stay nearby.

He is looking for a home that will appreciate his goofy, energetic personality and give him plenty of opportunities to play, explore and be involved in family life. ❤️

Dart deserves a forever home this time. Let's find it for him! 🥹🐾

📩 Message/email if interested! Please include Dart's name in your message, as I am helping multiple rescue animals find homes right now.

🥹🐾 FROM “HIGH RISK – WILL BITE” TO ADOPTED! 🐾🥹

Remember Ozzy?

The little guy who came into Animal Control labeled “HIGH RISK – WILL BITE” after initially rushing at us barking and snapping?

The same little guy who, within an hour, decided he actually REALLY liked pets and started giving kisses? 😂❤️

WELL… HE GOT ADOPTED!!! 🎉🏡

Ozzy was definitely not the easiest dog, and he wasn't going to be the right fit for just anyone. He needed someone patient, experienced, and willing to understand his quirks, including his grooming trigger and food guarding.

But the right person saw past that label and gave him a chance. ❤️

And THAT is why we don't always take an Animal Control behavior label at face value.

Sometimes “HIGH RISK – WILL BITE” turns into a goofy little couch potato who just needed someone willing to give him a chance. 🥹

Congratulations, Ozzy! We are SO happy you found your person. Go be spoiled! ❤️🐾

THIS IS WHY WE SAY NOT TO DROP ANIMALS OFF 🚨

About a week and a half ago, someone arranged to meet us at our mailing address to surrender several cats.

They no-showed.

The following day, we received an email saying the cats had been dropped off at the property after hours. It was the weekend, no one was there, the cats were not contained, and we didn’t even see the email until the next day.

A week later, the outcome has been heartbreaking. 💔

One was found unalived in a car engine fan.

Two were found unalived along the road.

And the fourth has still not been seen. We know it isn’t eating from our feeder, and we are the only ones who regularly feed animals around the property.

This is EXACTLY why our page says:

🚫 DO NOT ABANDON ANIMALS AT THIS ADDRESS.

Our mailing address is NOT a shelter or staffed rescue facility. There is no one there waiting to receive animals.

If you need to surrender an animal, PLEASE contact us and arrange a drop-off with someone from FBR physically present. Do not assume that leaving an animal at the property means it has been safely surrendered to us.

We understand that people sometimes don’t know what to do. We are always willing to help figure out a safe solution; no judgment.

But please, PLEASE contact us first. Leaving animals loose at an unstaffed property can quite literally cost them their lives. 💔🐾

🐾🤎 Meet Tessa – The Cinnamon Tabby with a BIG Personality! 🤎🐾

📍 Location: Lexington, SC
🐱 Name: Tessa
🎂 Age: ~3 months (DOB ~6/25/26)
🐾 Breed: DSH – Cinnamon Tabby (her coloring is MUCH prettier and more unique in person; pictures really don't do her justice!)
♀️ Female

📅 PRE-ADOPTION: Earliest pickup is 10/16.
Adopters may also take her home before then, but MUST be able to bring her to her scheduled spay appointment in Columbia, SC on 10/15.

🩺 Spayed/Neutered/Shots: 2 rounds FVRCP, microchipped, dewormed & UTD on heartworm/flea prevention. She will be spayed and receive her 3rd FVRCP on 10/15. Adopter must complete her final vetting on the appropriate timeline, including final FVRCP & Rabies.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: Good with everything she’s met!

⚠️ Aggression or medical issues?: None known.

Tessa does currently have a major umbilical hernia. This does NOT cause her pain or affect her day-to-day life. it is primarily cosmetic. It will be repaired during her spay surgery on 10/15, so she'll simply have a little more healing to do afterward.

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Owner surrender.

🥰 Personality:

Tessa is VERY friendly, VERY nosy, and VERY vocal! 😂

She has no problems being held and absolutely loves to play, climb, explore, and investigate everything around her. She is one of those kittens who wants to know what everyone is doing and will happily provide commentary while she's at it. 😂

She's also great with other animals and would make a fun, affectionate addition to the right home! 🤎
