‘Why won’t my mower start? What’s wrong with it?’

A customer called and said his walk behind mower wouldn’t start, and asked if I’d take a look at it.
Turns out that his mower lived outside, and moisture had gotten into the fuel tank & carburetor.
This is what happens when water & gasoline sets in a cast aluminum carburetor for a long period of time….
Something that looks kinda like ‘cottage cheese!’
After disassembling, I used compressed air to remove the loose residue, then soaked in Berryman Chem-Dip, rinse & used guitar strings to clean orifices. Another blast of compressed air and installed new gaskets and seals.
Mower is now a “1-pull wonder” 😊

John Deere w’ 25hp Kohler needed an upper crankshaft seal replacement.
In addition to your average small engine machinery, we also LOVE small engines literally!! How freaking cool is this miniature small engine made by Stirlingkit !?
