The Government shut down means no one can use their Snap, food stamps or WIC benefits. Since our food pantry is open
5 days a week, it will be hit hard during this time with people trying to put food on the table for their families. We are asking you to consider donating any food items or baby formula to help us keep up with this demand in our community. Our food pantry will accept any food item, canned foods( especially pop tops), boxed dinners , ramen noodles & we even have refrigerator and freezer space to store cold items. Your generosity is always appreciated! Thank you.
Matthew 25:40

2 Corinthians 1-3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
I have consistently encouraged,in my walk with God, for others going through hardship, bad news, rough spots, or whatever is unpleasant in your life, that you continually praise God for his “Pease beyond all understanding “ that only he has the ability to provide. This is one of those times that I have to share with you, hopefully to encourage you to stay true to the Word and grow closer to Him.
I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer and the prognosis is six to twelve months to live. I’m at total peace with this because of the awesome promise of eternal life in the presence of Jesus, whom I elected to follow many years ago. This is a transformation from a long life of hardship and struggle to a place of immeasurable peace and comfort, praise God forever. I don’t need sympathy, but I welcome your encouragement through this process and prayer for my family that will experience the grief that accompanies my physical departure. My hope is that somehow my life has encouraged you to consider and following the same Savior that I decided to follow through this journey. I love you all even though we may disagree sometimes, but I respect you and welcome your support. Thanks for everything, especially your support of Davidson County First Hope Ministries.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
