Today we took part in an event where the boys learned all about fishing in Kentucky. They will get a free fishing pole for participating. We would’ve gotten it there, but they ran out. Thank you for hosting this event. ❤️

Nice turnout for the Ace of Spades rally. So awesome that they had a pit stop right here in our town. G2 is doing his thing with the camera. 📷 Can’t wait to see how his pics turn out.

Today the boys learned the real life skills of staining a deck. Let me tell you, it was not fun at all. My back feels like it’s going to snap. All the stuff going on with our house lately has me rethinking wanting a farm with lots of land. I’m beginning to think an apartment where someone else takes care of all the things sounds quite lovely. I do love how the deck turned out though. We just need to do a few touch ups some other day.

Summer bucket lists don’t have to be elaborate. Just spend quality time with you kids and fill their tank.

🍋Today we made blue raspberry lemonade as a special treat. Little things matter and sometimes make all the difference to them.

Did some schoolwork outside today. ☀️ While I do consider us mostly unschoolers, we do incorporate some book work occasionally. I’m working on helping G4 improve his reading skills.

This is what organic learning looks like. This wasn’t prompted at all. Is it perfect? No, but it shows me they’re on the right track. My youngest boys are always making up their own games that often involve many different skills. I’m so thankful to be able to be home with them. 💙

The boys participated in a spring break class at They learned how to make pull-back vehicles.

Today we made strawberry popcorn and watched The Croods A New Age. The popcorn was fantastic! 🍓

Here’s a great, educational game to play (especially with boys who love gross stuff). I actually learned a couple things tonight, like the fact that I might have to throw away all of my shimmery lipstick. See the middle question in the card. 😂

Yesterday we hiked for a total of 4 miles. It was exhausting, but so peaceful. I love hiking with my family, but I also think it would be nice to go with a friend who would like to slow down and take in the scenery more. We just couldn’t keep our youngest from leading the way very quickly. I wish I had half his energy!!
