Crew Spotlight 💡

Anna is beyond excited to be working at lexfarm this season. She loves transplanting with the crew, smelling basil on her hands, and anything to do with tomatoes. She fell in love with growing food as a part time job in college, and at the same time, learned how important local food is to the community based, climate resilient future she wants to live in. 🌎

Off the farm, she loves backpacking, dumpster diving, and refreshing swims. On the farm, you’ll find her with too much sunscreen, asking tons of questions. She is most excited about some of the specialty crops at lexfarm: japanese sweet potatoes, okra, and of course strawberries. 🍠

Anna is a gem to have on the crew and we’re so excited to have her. She has a tangible interest in local food systems and farming practices, and asks all the right questions to grow as a farmer! 👩‍🌾

Becca joined LexFarm in 2026 as a Farm Apprentice specializing in flower management. She is drawn to farming by a love of outdoor work, good people, and the satisfaction of growing food from seed to harvest. Her favorite crops to harvest are radishes, tomatoes, and snap peas. When she’s not at the farm, she enjoys long-distance running, swimming in lakes, cooking, and finding any excuse to spend time outside with friends 🌻

We’re so excited to have Becca working with us this season! She’s funny, a fantastic team player, and trains for a marathon every day after work (we don’t know how she does it 🏃🏼‍♀️). Give her a wave if you see her around 🌷🍓

It’s not to late to keep planting out your garden! We’ve got new rounds of peppers, tomatoes, basil, and native perennials that are bursting to be put into the ground. If you plant now, you’ll have vegetables to come through the late summer and fall!

Nights are consistently about 50° now so your tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and cucurbits will finally thrive! 🌱🌱
