has recently become a visual performing arts school and that’s something we can get excited about! We love seeing kids tap into their artistic skills early like we did and we are excited to help it stand out with this bold bright mural 🎨

After 20 years, the walls in this school got a fresh start. The mural that lived here before had an incredible run, and we can only hope ours will last just as long—if not longer.

This was a big project. It started with a new principal who trusted us to bring her vision to life, and it grew with the help of women who painted alongside us, teachers who reminded us daily how much it brightened their space, and a friend who captured it beautifully so we could share it here.

We’re grateful for every hand, every kind word, and every moment that made this mural possible. Here’s a look inside the transformation at Rosa Parks Elementary.

Thank you Barren Inc. for choosing our mural wall here at The Market Ky for your annual publication background! We love that it was designed by Glasgow natives from Studio Mel and serves for the backdrops of thousands of pictures and insta worthy posts for both locals & tourists!

We connect with the Living Arts & Science Center’s mission of education, discovery, and creativity, which is why we were especially grateful to be asked to create an original piece for this project! Working with and to bring this mural to life was such a great experience.

With our trademark bold shapes and flowing movement, we designed this piece to reflect the energy of the planetarium and the excitement of exploring the unknown. If you’re in the area, stop by and check it out! ✨
