We are contributing slider rolls, Mediterranean pasta salad, and guajillo chili lime aioli for the grilled corn. It's going to be quite the feast! We'll also have all of this for sale at our booth (the buns will be regular hamburger-sized).

Join us this weekend to celebrate Dads! We’re serving up an extra special menu of samples from our local vendors, starting at 10:30am this Saturday.

BN ACRES will be serving grass-fed beef sliders alongside Rabble and Rise Baking Co. buns. Pair it with local veggies/greens from Fancy Plants Farmstead, Homegrown Horizons, Long Farm, Miller Farm Fresh Produce, or Young Farms. P*e Dee Orchards is going to have grilled peaches and Sunflower Hill Farm, Lexington, NC will be grilling Merguez sausage (a spicy & flavorful lamb sausage), and The Soap Shack, LLC - NC / Sawdust, Sparks and Stitches have pickles & hamburger chili!

Donations are appreciated to support the Lexington Farmers Market.

We will also have ws_knifesharpening on-site to sharpen pocket & kitchen knives so they can be ready for a summer of work and grilling! Treat Dad to a full revamp of his tools instead of buying a new set this year. Dexter is cash only, and asks that you bring blades wrapped in a towel or sheath for safety.

Start shopping as early as 8am this Saturday, June 20th at the Depot!

Cold water and just 3% starter for an overnight sourdough proof. The dough does get warm from the mixer. But it usually turns out fine! So what happened?? I stacked the bins, which I don't usually do. The top bin was fine...but it also has some whole wheat which doesn't tend to blow out anyway. But the other two bins couldn't let warmth escape through the top, stayed too warm and insulated, and exploded. What was left in the bin was still warm and overproofed this morning. The dough on the floor felt perfect as I put it in the trash! Top bin? Also perfect.

Let's see what you did with your parbaked pizza crusts and dough balls!

Sara L. just messaged these margarita beauties.

The hubs and I did one with sauce, fresh tomatoes from Wiil the Tomato Man, and basil from our garden. The second one (my fave) was loaded with fresh mozzarella, goat cheese and mushrooms from Sunflower Hill Farm, LLC, arugula from our garden, and balsamic glaze after.

These plain jane crusts have been a big hit. I think I'll add a flavored one with our organic Italian herb mix and parmesan in the crust next week.

Thanks again to everyone who gave to the farmers market fundraiser. Our friends uptown have so many hard (and expensive) decisions to make in the coming weeks and months. By helping with immediate cash flow, we can do our part to make their recovery just a wee tiny bit less painful.

Running a microbakery aint all yummy bread smells and delicious chef snacks. Some time it's sweaty shovel work outside.

❤️ YALL. ❤️ You donated $1835 to our friends who lost their businesses in this week's fire uptown. Thank you so much for coming out for our "Taste and Tip" bar. You're an incredibly generous bunch!!

Showing my cashout of what was collected on cards/venmo for transparency.

Stay tuned for what was collected by the Market as a whole once other vendors total up their donations. Thank you for being a part of Lexington's local food community, you beautiful people!!
