🚨 Action Alert

They said they wouldn't cut veterans' benefits.

The Take Care of America's Veterans Act does exactly that.

$57 billion. 1.5 million veterans. Tinnitus. Sleep apnea. Conditions earned in combat. Stripped from future veterans to pay for other veterans' benefits.

VFW National Commander Carol Whitmore: "A grateful nation pays its debts to veterans; it does not send them the invoice."

This community has a code. We don't eat our own.

🇺🇸 Veterans kept their promise to America. Congress must keep its promise to veterans.

Proposed cuts to earned veterans’ benefits could impact up to 1.5 million veterans and reduce disability compensation by billions over the next decade.

These benefits are not handouts. They were earned through service, sacrifice, and the willingness to defend our nation when called.

Now is the time to make your voice heard. Contact your elected representatives and tell them that balancing budgets should never come at the expense of those who served.

📢 Veterans. Families. Supporters. Allies.
🎖️ Honor the Contract.
📞 Contact Congress today.
🇺🇸 Stand with those who stood for us.

On this day in 1944, the Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944, also known as the G.I. Bill of Rights, was signed into law, expanding access to education, housing and opportunity for millions of World War II veterans and creating opportunities that would benefit veterans and their families for generations to come. https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/servicemens-readjustment-act

Join us in thanking our Past Regent Susan Weaver for her five years of service as regent. Susan has led us with grace, enthusiasm, and wisdom. But, not to worry, we aren’t letting go of her. She will continue as a chapter officer in the role of corresponding secretary.

Once a DAR sister, always a DAR sister. 🇺🇸

Veterans waiting on a prosthetic aren’t waiting on equipment, they’re waiting to get life their life back. Faster process and local sourcing mean shorter delays.
