Come to a new show I’m in called “A Gathering of Sisters”, an all Black females of Kentucky art show at the Christ Church Cathedral! The gallery hop is tomorrow night 5-8 pm (July 19). Come check it out and support our local artists and businesses!

Tomorrow night is gallery hop night!!! If you’re in the downtown Lexington area come out and see some wonderful artwork from local artists. In fact I will be one of those artists!!!!! Come to the new show “A Gathering of Sisters” at the Christ Church Cathedral from 5-8 pm this Friday (July 19). It features established and upcoming female Black artists throughout the state of Kentucky. Come out and support our local artists and business communities, as well as, have a good time!

Working hard on new pieces!

I am happy to announce, I was selected to participate in Kentucky Crafted, the Kentucky Arts Council’s adjudicated program that supports Kentucky visual and craft artists through marketing and promotional opportunities and arts business training. It is an honor to have this opportunity and to work amongst like minded and extremely talented artisans!!!!!

I love the background of this piece. It’s such a pretty contrast to the ugliness of the sentiment! This piece was appliquéd, quilted, and embroidered by hand. It took about three months to make.
