Did you know that since 1994, you’ve been able to walk right into our office and actually sit down with a real person to talk through your computer issues face to face?

That’s still how we do things.

Whether it’s helping someone’s parents figure out email problems, cleaning up a virus, fixing a laptop that suddenly stopped working, upgrading a gaming PC, recovering files, or just answering questions without making people feel uncomfortable, we genuinely enjoy helping people one on one.

A lot of places today want you to submit a ticket, wait on hold, or ship your computer somewhere. We’ve always believed there’s still value in being able to walk into a local business, explain what’s going on, and have somebody patiently work through it with you.

We’ve also worked hard to make our shop feel welcoming and comfortable. Big showroom, lots of products in stock, coffee, snacks, mints, comfortable seating, and friendly people that actually want to help.

And if you’ve been in recently, chances are you’ve met Jason. He’s been in the IT world for well over 10 years and customers absolutely love working with him because he’s approachable, knowledgeable, and great at explaining things in plain English.

Honestly, competent walk in computer service is getting harder and harder to find these days. We’re proud that after more than 30 years, it’s still a huge part of who we are.

So whether you’re 17 building your dream gaming PC or 77 years old trying to figure out why the printer suddenly stopped working again, we’re here for you! :-)

New Gloucester Village Store 05/29/2026

There are certain places in small towns we've all stopped by that you can tell are more than just a business. It has that feel. The feel that it is and has become part of the identity of the community itself. The kind of place where you run into neighbors, catch up with old friends, grab dinner after a long day, hear local stories, meet new people, and feel connected to the town around you.

That’s exactly what the New Gloucester Village Store has always been since we first visited a decade ago.

And now, after years of being quiet following the challenges of COVID and staffing shortages, it’s finally coming back to life.

I’ve stopped in and talked with the store's same previous owner and the guy that's bringing it all back again, Sam, many times over the past couple of months while he’s been rebuilding this place from the ground up. The amount of heart, sweat, stress, time, and energy going into this project is really inspiring. With the help of neighborhood volunteers, friends and family, he’s gutting and renovating nearly the entire building while still working hard to preserve the character and feel that made the store special in the first place.

This isn’t some corporate investment or trendy business venture backed by people who don’t know the town. Sam has lived in New Gloucester his whole life. He genuinely cares about this community and believes the Village Store can once again become a gathering place for people.

Today he said something to me that really stuck.

He openly admitted that owning a restaurant is probably not a great way to make money. The real reason he’s doing this is because he believes in the power of human interaction. He wants a place where people can have great food and even greater conversation.

Honestly, that’s the kind of mindset we should all want to support.

The store is bringing back everything people loved about it while adding fresh energy and ideas. Local ingredients. Ready made meals. Pizza. Beer and wine. Grab and go food. A warm welcoming atmosphere. A historic building being given new life instead of being forgotten.

What’s even more amazing is that the community itself helped make this happen. Local residents stepped up with donations, loans, and support because they believed this place mattered.

That says a lot.

And the timing could not be better. With the upcoming traffic light planned for that intersection, the area is going to become safer, slower paced, and feel even more like the walkable neighborhood village center it was always meant to be.

In a world where everything feels rushed, impersonal, and online, places like this matter more than ever.

So when the doors open, show up.

Grab a pizza.
Pick up dinner.
Buy local.
Have a beer.
Sit down and talk with somebody.
Bring your kids.
Run into neighbors.
Support the people willing to invest themselves back into our communities.

Because keeping places like this alive is about a whole lot more than just food.

Support Sam. Support local. Support the New Gloucester Village Store.

I'm supporting Trek Across Maine 05/15/2026

This year marks my 20th year riding in the Trek Across Maine.

The Trek is a 180 mile bike ride supporting a great cause through the American Lung Association. The ride starts at Pineland Farms, heads to Bates College on day one, continues to St. Joseph’s College on day two, and returns to Pineland on day three. Riders can choose to participate in 1, 2, or all 3 days.

I’m the team captain of a very laid back family and friends team, and we’re always happy to welcome new riders.

If you’ve ever thought about doing the Trek, this is a great year to join us. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just looking for a fun challenge for a good organization, we’d love to have you on the team.

I'm supporting Trek Across Maine The American Lung Association's mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We do this through education, advocacy, and research.
