Thought I would share a few photos of projects that I have been working on. Small wall cabinet with an old washboard for the door. Nightstands made from an old desk. Couple of upcycled sewing cabinets. Of course benches, made from wood out of the scrap pile. Small cabinet made from louvered closet doors. Then nightstands made with sewing cabinet drawers and parts from a crib. Many more projects in the works.

Dropped off quite a load of furniture, at the booth this morning. Two sets of nightstands. The first set was made from sewing cabinet drawers and crib parts. The second from a waterfall desk. Next a repurposed sewing cabinet and a couple of country benches.

I’ve been working on a couple of repurposing projects. The first is an accent cabinet made from an old crib. I took one of the end pieces and cut it in half for the side pieces then added shelves and small drawers for storage. The next cabinet is made from an antique umbrella stand (forgot to take a before pic). I took the slats off the front and added shelves inside.

Well I’m finally back to work. My very talented sister and I have a booth in, the newly remodeled, Bargain Hunters Mall located in downtown Lewiston. The grand opening is Friday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. We have a variety of old treasures, new creations and, of course, up cycled items. Hope to see you there.

I used a variety of salvaged wood for this long tv stand. Some maple cabinet parts, decorative plywood and cedar for the top. It was done in a chevron design and waterfalled ends. Cedar was also used for the design on the door (woohoo, the funnest part of the project). Then finished it off with adjustable metal legs.

I’m calling this one a “what not cabinet”. It could be used in any room. I built it from louvered closet doors and used lathe strips on the top. The crate drawers were made from louvers and I used jalousie glass in the door. I also lined the inside with cedar.

Another flooring project. I used parquet flooring to make this cabinet. Gold spray paint and frost was used to get the design on the glass doors. Then I finished it off with some fun legs.

This rustic wood bench is actually engineered wood flooring. The top side of the flooring is beautiful dark wood flooring….big yawn. So I flipped it over and found this rustic wood design, much more interesting!

After rescuing these 2 solid maple cabinet doors from the dumpster, I built a pair of side tables for them. As usual, I started with louvered closet doors for the sides. Solid oak for the tops and oak shelving for the inside. More louvers were inserted in the doors, on the diagonal. Then the design was created with paint and stains.
