AstroAid Foundation is proud to contribute to the 65th Session of the Legal Subcommittee (LSC) of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), held at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) in Vienna.

The session brought together 110 Member States, 60 permanent observers, and several ad-hoc observers, including AstroAid Foundation, contributing to global discussions on the legal and policy frameworks governing outer space.

This year’s discussions are especially significant as the international community approaches the 60th anniversary of the Outer Space Treaty in 2027, with key focus areas including space sustainability, resource utilization, lunar activities, and space governance.

At AstroAid, we are particularly interested in how these evolving frameworks can support the use of space technologies for humanitarian response and global health.

Beyond the formal sessions, it has been a valuable opportunity to build meaningful connections, AstroAid is growing faster than ever, and we are excited about the momentum and collaborations emerging from these discussions. We look forward to following the discussions and contributing to this important global dialogue.

🚨 Space should be a lifeline, not a political bargaining chip. 🚨

When access to space-based communication is threatened or cut off in a conflict zone, healthcare systems collapse, and humanitarian organizations are left completely in the dark.

Hear the message from our ambassador, aerospace engineer Dr. Yulia Akisheva: "When access depends on external systems, it can disappear overnight." πŸŽ™οΈπŸ‘‡

Humanitarian aid cannot be dictated by geopolitics. That is why the AstroAid Foundation is on a mission to build our own independent space infrastructure.

We are creating a resilient, 100% politically neutral network designed for one purpose: to serve wherever care is needed. 🌍🩺

By owning our assets, we guarantee:
πŸ•ŠοΈ Absolute Neutrality: We do not take sides. We serve the human need.
πŸ›°οΈ Uninterruptible Care: When conflict severs local lifelines, our independent satellite tech ensures telemedicine and emergency response remain online.
🌍 Border-Free Access: Delivering life-saving support directly from orbit to the world’s most vulnerable conflict zones.

We refuse to let global health become collateral damage. But to build this fiercely independent infrastructure, we need to get off the ground. πŸš€

πŸ’« Stand with us for neutral, unstoppable aid: 1️⃣ Watch Dr. Yulia's message. 2️⃣ Hit the link in our bio (or scan the QR code!) to fuel our seed campaign. 3️⃣ Share this reel to help us build a movement that transcends borders.

AstroAid is more than a project. It is a movement for the entire humanity. 🀝
