FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR STUDENT ATHLETES!

We are pleased to share that Beacon Middle School is offering free sports physicals for students!

Who can attend: Students currently in grades 6 or 7 who are interested in playing sports during the 2026-2027 school year.

Date & Time: 5/27/2026 5:00-7:00pm

Location: Beacon Middle School Cafeteria

What to bring:

· A parent or guardian

· Glasses or contact lenses (if used)

· DIAA sports physical form with parent section completed if able

No insurance is needed. No cost to families.

Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate in school athletics without barriers. These physicals will be provided at no cost and will be conducted by qualified medical professionals. Please contact the school nurse at (302)644-6111 if you would like to participate but need help with transportation.

We are of our very own Beacon Jazz Bands! They will be performing at the Lewes Library this Friday!
The 6th grade jazz band performs at 4:30p, followed by the 7th/8th grade jazz band at 4:45p. What a great way to entertain yourself on a Friday night and support our BMS Jazz Band students!

📣 Calling all teachers and students to celebrate their pets! May is National Pet Month, and 3 of our 6th grade CAP students (Logan Curty, Wyatt Kardos, and Drake Webb) will be collecting your pet photos and putting them on display on the bulletin board between the 7th and 8th grade hallway. Bring in a photo or printed picture of your pet, put your photo in the box at the end of your grade hallway, and see new pictures displayed every Friday in the month of May! Put your name and homeroom teacher on the back if you want your photo returned. Message Mrs. Burkhart if you have any questions.

We are still in need of GIFT CARDS if you’re able to donate. They can be sent in with your student or dropped off at the front desk.
