Some of our believers are out harvesting dal (lentils). Dal is a staple in many Indian villages because it's easy to grow and provides high sources of protein. They will harvest this to feed their families and sell the extra at market.

Our friend here is from a Hindu background. She became a Christian 4 years ago and ever since has suffered through terrible persecution from her relatives and community in India. The people in her community tried to stop her from going to church for several months, but she continued to go.
One day they went to her mud house and told her that she had to leave the village by 4am or she would suffer the consequences. She had children and didn't know what to do, but knew she couldn't run away with her children. She had no where to go. She refused to be bullied out of her home.
At 4am a few villagers tore down the door of her house and went in. They shot her in the forehead in front of her children. She fell to the floor unconscious. She was taken to a nearby hospital where the doctors performed 3 surgeries. After quite some time she was discharged and sent home...to the same home she was shot in.
She asks for prayers of victory over these anti-Christians and prayers to strengthen her faith to stand strong and continue following Jesus.
What would you do in a situation like this? Would you forsake the name of Christ in fear of a bullet? Would you forsake Christ for your children's safety?

N.J. has been busy in India the past 6 weeks. He was excited to know that outside of Simdega, another church was established. He visited their church services yesterday. They greeted him with flowers and a beautiful handmade wreath. He spoke and encouraged them in their faith even amidst the persecution they face regularly.
