Customtied Bugz

As I said earlier, A good buddy of mine is headed out west to drown some bugz. He asked me to build some stuff for him. This one should surely be productive, CT Squalla Chubby Chernobyl. A buddy is headed out west to chase trout in the sacred waters of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. He asked me to build him some yellow sallies. He wanted them a little big, so I went with a size 12. My buddy Tim sent me a note the other day. He had picked 4 fish up on a bug that he couldn't call the name of. It was in the same "Kit" that the Black Zebra Wet fly was in.
He sent me a picture and I reverse engineered it. Here is the CT Rising October Caddis

I was out Sunday with an old Army buddy in Canoe Creek in Blair Cty, PA. The weather was cool and overcast and the water typical for a late spring day in central, PA. It had rained for several days before and everything else was blown out. We figured this would be worth a shot since it was just downstream of Canoe Lake.
Tim showed me the bug that he was using to s***k me. I asked him where he got it. "It was in a kit." Is all that he said. He only had the one.
He's starting in fly tying so I reverse engineered this for him.

Another cool bench fly.
Testing this out this weekend.

Got out for a couple hours this morning.
Heavy cloud cover, drizzle, gentle breeze from my back.
Perfect.
These are a few of the 8 or so that I found.
This CT Rising Damsel in size 10 was the ticket today.

I finally got out to one of my ponds today.
Cool and overcast. Shell crackers just coming off of their beds.
I built this #8 olive curved wet to suggest a damsel swimming around.
I fished it about 18" below a semi-bouyant "streamer" to keep it suspened on the short choppy retrieve.
Very effective swimming damsel nymph, I think.

CT CDC Hairwing Sparkle Caddis
Here is my next adult caddis. The recipe is in the description in the video. I designed this bug to be drifted, skittered, or as an indicator over a dropper.
