π¨Water Conservation Alert: We are currently experiencing severe drought conditions. During April, increased irrigation demand caused our water system to operate very close to levels that would have required formal water conservation action.
While cooler temperatures and potential rainfall may provide short-term relief, continued excessive irrigation places significant strain on our water system. If drought conditions persist and irrigation demand is not reduced, H2GO will be required to implement its Water Shortage Response Plan, as adopted by the Board of Commissioners.
At this time, we are asking customers to take immediate voluntary steps to reduce water use in order to avoid mandatory restrictions.
Please take the following actions now:
π§Inspect irrigation systems for leaks, broken heads, or overspray.
π§Ensure irrigation operates only on days allowed under H2GOβs mandatory schedule.
π§Program irrigation systems to run during early morning hours (4:00β7:00 a.m.).
π§Adjust run times based on weather conditions, soil moisture, and recent rainfall.
π§Limit watering to what is essential for plant survival.

π Important Reminder: Water Meter Boxes
Spring is in full bloom and may be obscuring your water meter box. Please remember to keep your water meter box clear of any obstructions like pine straw, mulch, rocks, plants, etc.
Our crews need clear access to these boxes for maintenance and reading purposes. Keeping them uncovered ensures we can service your area efficiently!

All municipal water has to be disinfected to ensure that bacteria does not develop in the distribution system. The most common disinfectants are chloramines, chlorine gas, and what we use- sodium hypochlorite.
The EPA limit for sodium hypochlorite in drinking water is 4 mg/l. The smell and taste of sodium hypochlorite typically become noticeable around 1 mg/l. We use sodium hypochlorite for many reasons π
β
Low concentration making it barely noticeable in taste and smell
β
Safer to handle and work with than other alternatives
β
Cost-efficient since it is produced onsite
