South Salt Lake Police Department responded to 2150 State Street on 5/9/2022 around 12:00 pm due to a suspicious item located outside the business. Unified Fire Authority Bomb Squad responded and properly and safely detonated the device.

South Salt Lake Detectives are following up on leads. If you have pertinent information to help investigators locate who placed the pipe bomb device please call 801-840-4000.

Element Training Solutions is hosting a Civilian Trauma Care (CTC) Course. This is a four hour first-aid course teaching the fundamentals of trauma care and life-saving techniques. This class is good for parents, teachers, coaches, campers, hunters, and/or anyone who could benefit from learning life-saving skills to be applied before emergency help arrives. This course includes a combination of classroom lectures and hands-on skills practice. It incorporates practical scenarios where students will apply the classroom material and skills they have learned. cost of the course is $250. Upon completion of the course, you leave with increased knowledge, greater confidence in your skills, and your own individual first-aid kit (IFAK).
