🚨 Emissions Program Update – Effective 1/1/2026 🚨

We want to be upfront with our customers about important changes to the Utah County emissions program that just rolled out.

🔧 New Equipment Required
The County now requires updated emissions testing equipment. We’ve already invested in this new technology with two machines for faster service.

⏱ Tests May Take Longer
Due to the new process and equipment, emissions tests may take a little longer than before. We appreciate your patience as we adjust.

✅ Good News for Older Vehicles
If your vehicle is 1995 or older, you currently only need to pass a visual inspection of emissions components.
👉 No more tailpipe tests for those vehicles (for now).

🔁 Retest Policy Change
Under the new County billing rules:
• You will receive one free retest within 15 days, which didn’t change. This was required prior and still is.
• Previously, we were able to offer unlimited retests, since we weren’t charged until the machine produced a certificate. Unfortunately, the billing change charges us upfront and will charge us again after the 15 days.

💲 Price Increase Notice
Because of the increased County fees, (nearly double) emissions testing prices will be increasing. This was not an easy decision, but it’s necessary to offset the new cost of doing the tests.
