We got it done! Ascend Hoops are crowned 2022 Fairfax Stars Rising 7th Grade Summer League Champs! What a great season, ending with a hard fought win against the undefeated crosstown rival East Coast Hoopers. So proud of this group and what they were able to accomplish. Missed my sidekick Coach Wikel and PG Brady but we brought home the hardware for them.

Another successful weekend for Ascend Hoops 12U. Didn't come home with the 🏆, but we grew as a team. Lost by 1 point in overtime of the Championship against the team that beat us by 16 points the day before. These boys played their hearts out and very easily could have been on the winning side. Proud of this squad and what they are doing so far this season.

Keep Pushing!
PREP & LTB Training back in action after a few weeks off..so pumped to have my baby girl participating in one of group sessions, she held her own with the boys (older boys at that). Looking forward to a great Fall with over 100 kids throughout the different age groups.
Ascend Hoops back in action, the boys competed hard in our first day back!
A family member asked me help them with some basketball basics for a church camp they are leading this week so I asked my daughter to help with some of the demonstrations. Check out the non verbal commentary (before and after) the demo in this video. I had no clue she was doing it until I played the video back last night (please ignore me, its obvious this was unscripted and rushed last minute as a way to help....her part however is priceless!!!)

Wrapped up a great weekend of hoops w/ the CLBL 5th Grade All-Star Charity Classic. Our team represented Loudoun Hunger Relief. Super proud of the boys winning the 3 game series, which added a few hundred extra dollars to the overall donation. Extremely honored to be able to coach alongside . The cherry on top was getting to coach Brycen (2nd All-Star selection and first time playing in the classic as last years tournament was canceled due to COVID).

Winter Training coming to a close, these boys have been working hard, the progress has been great to see
Jordyn with the high paced change of direction and sweet finish (but only a 9 out of 10 because she wasn't using her left hand to push the ball up first...she is only 6 though 🤷🏾♂️).
