I’ve been getting a number of questions about where and how I’m getting the latest status and updates on Operation EPIC FURY (US) and Operation ROARING LION (ISRAEL).

In my mini op center home, I’m primarily using a host of open source tools that is providing a common operating picture of reports and battle damage assessments.

As the war is barely 48 hours old, I’m watching and anticipating multiple fronts of engagement as well as Iran using every last resource to lash out. We are seeing this now in Baghdad, Iraq with attempts by Shia militia attempting to breach the Green Zone; attacks in Bahrain against both the US Navy’s 5th Fleet HQ but also an attempt to destabilize and overthrow the Bahraini Royal Family; attacks in Pakistan (unrelated to recent AF-PAK dispute), and collateral damage to oil shipping vessels in and around the Straits of Hormuz.

Lastly, what seems to be a joint US-Israeli air campaign, I anticipate a ground incursion led by Arab / Gulf states to occur in follow-on phases giving an Arab-led approach.
