Over the past few weeks, the Leesburg Police Department conducted compliance operations targeting the illegal sale of va**ng and ni****ne products to minors.

As part of the operation, underage individuals attempted to purchase these products from 24 businesses within the City of Leesburg. Of those businesses, 22 refused the sale and complied with state law.

Two businesses—Murphy USA (1801 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) and GK Hip Hop Clothing (219 E. North Blvd.)—sold va**ng or ni****ne products to underage individuals. The employees involved were issued Notices to Appear and will be required to appear in court.

These operations were conducted in response to concerns raised by parents, teachers, and coaches regarding underage va**ng and being in possession of ni****ne products. The Leesburg Police Department will continue to conduct compliance checks and work with local businesses to reduce youth access to age-restricted ni****ne products.

We appreciate the businesses that verified identification and complied with the law. Protecting our youth remains a priority, and we will continue to address violations when they occur.
