Potions, elixirs, and... smoothies?!? Oh my! ๐ง๐ฅค๐ฉโ๐ณ
Go Somewhere:
In this week-long adventure, explorers will get to step into the shoes of a chemist as they experiment with concoctions and discover for themselves how substances react and change when combined. Little learners will visit a lab, a grocery store, and a smoothie shop as they work to make potions of their own.
Meet Someone:
Explorers will get to meet a local scientist who uses different chemicals to help improve peopleโs lives. They will also get to meet the owner of a local smoothie shop who uses natural, organic ingredients to do the same!
Make Something:
By the end of the week, explorers will have invented their own โmagic potionโ using some of the (safe!) substances they were allowed to work with throughout the week. They will invent an original name, detailed description, and unique product that would make any potionโs master proud.
A day filled with scavenger hunts, specimen collection, and garden design on just the most beautiful day!

This adventure is for every little explorer who loves singing, dancing, playing, and generally rocking out. Young music-makers will visit a music shop, a theater, and a workshop where instruments are made.
Meet Someone:
Explorers will meet a local craftsman who builds unique instruments, be given a tour of a music shop by the owner, and listen to a concert given by local musicians just for them!
Make Something:
This week, explorers will be making beautiful music as they learn about vibration, pitch, sound and rhythm to create their own unique instruments โ culminating in a tiny concert of their own.

This week-long adventure is all about miniature gardens -- be they fairy, zen, dinosaur, beach, or desert-themed! Explorers will go visit a range of beautiful gardens in the community (both large and small) as they learn what makes an any-sized garden magical. They will also visit a landscaping store as they decide what plants to add to their collection.
So.... our explorers are officially becoming the new LAB photographers. I think it's safe to say today's amazing composition and lighting lesson with @Amy Berringer was a complete success!

In this week-long adventure, explorers will get a crash course in lighting, photography, and letters! They will visit an art gallery for inspiration and ideas, and then travel to photo-worthy nature spots to do some close-looking and capturing of their own.
Meet Someone:
Explorers will be introduced to the world of pictures by a local photographer who will demonstrate how to use angles, lighting, and perspective to capture magical moments and views.
Make Something:
Explorers will be putting their newfound photography skills to the test as they create a visual alphabet using pictures captured in nature. These picture series will be combined and displayed, creating a beautiful gallery of explorer-made art.
Today we learned how much arable land we have on Earth and ways we can protect it to make sure it stays healthy and safe!

This week, explorers will chat with a master gardener who will give them tips for choosing, planting, and caring for growing things. They will also meet a landscape architect who will explain and model the process for building a garden -- from dreaming, to planning, to sketching to creating.
Make Something:
Throughout the week, explorers will be following the process of a landscape architect as they dream into existence a miniature garden of their own to be shared, taken home, and treasured for years to come.
