After many years the community of Okahumpka had the ground breaking for the Okahumpka Community Center . The gathering was sparked or better said , charged, by the love and hope of this tiny town in Lake County . The historic Rosenwald School is noted on the US National Registry . Virgil Hawkins , noted educator and the first black attorney attended this school and his family donated land for the school.
The Community center will provide the meeting rooms and will compliment the Historic one room class room with tours and museums.

Adding the keys to navigate the current market is essential. The class, instructor,designation, networking was encouraging. I am glad the opportunity was provided by the great RALSC!

Florida … an amazing state ! i thought i knew my home state and i have never seen one. NOT ONE, YET!

Did you know we have bison in Florida? There are more than 50 bison roaming Paynes Prairie just south of Gainesville. Bison are native to Florida but hunting and development eliminated them in the state more than a century ago. In 1975, the Florida Park Service put 10 bison from Oklahoma in the preserve and their descendants are still there today.
