From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.

This campaign was never just about an election. It was about people. It was about conversations, connections, and a shared belief in the future of Lee’s Summit.

To everyone who walked alongside me, supported me, encouraged me, and to the 7,700 residents who showed up to vote, please know how much that means to me. I will never take that trust lightly.

While this chapter didn’t end the way we hoped, I am incredibly proud of the campaign we ran and the community that came together because of it.

My commitment to the people of Lees Summit does not end here. I will continue to listen, show up, and advocate for you!

Thank you for believing in me.

With so much gratitude,
Cynda

Polls are officially closed!

Thank you to every single person who showed up, supported, encouraged, prayed, volunteered, and voted today. I truly could not have done this without you. It takes a whole community, and I’m so grateful for ours.

Now we wait, watch the results come in, and celebrate together, no matter the outcome.

God bless you all, and thank you for believing in this journey. ❤️

My sons Brandon and Ryan are out at Summit Lakes Middle School today, and it’s been such a special day!! They even ran into their bus driver from over 20 years ago, how cool is that?

So many familiar faces, so many great conversations… it’s been one of those days that reminds you how connected this community really is.

You’ve still got about 2.5 hours left - polls close at 7 PM.

Grab a friend, remind your neighbors, and get out and vote. Every single vote matters!!!

Thank you, Bob Glazier, for being out at John Knox Pavilion today - we appreciate you showing up and supporting our community in such a big way.

There’s been so much energy here at the polls. So many familiar faces, so many great conversations, and we’re hearing a lot of love from residents who care deeply about the future of our city—including a strong message of NO to incentivizing more apartments!!

If you’re feeling the same way, don’t keep it to yourself - tell your neighbor, text your friends, and remind your family!!

Get out and vote. Every single vote matters!!

I ran into Excene Spencer at Prairie View Elementary while voting today, and it honestly made my day. There’s something really special about seeing generations show up, care about our city, and stay involved.

Popped into Overboard Coffee for lunch today, one of my favorite spots, and Jennifer took such great care of us. Truly the best kind of stop in the middle of a busy day 💛

While we were there, we ran into Girl Scout Troop 3159. These girls have been together all these years and are now juniors, so cool to see that kind of friendship and commitment. They were incredibly kind and supportive, and it made my day getting to meet them.

There’s something really special about meeting the next generation of voters and leaders. The future is bright ✨

Share this, remind your friends and family, and reach out to everyone you know in Lee’s Summit - get out and vote!!! If you think your vote doesn’t count, you’re wrong. Every single vote truly matters!
