The first dental visit is suggested by 12 months of age or within 6 months of the first tooth erupting. The first visit is very important as it helps your child feel comfortable with the dentist. It hardly takes 30 to 45 minutes.
So, visit Summit Pediatric Dentistry to give your child a unique and out of this world dental experience.
5/12/20 COVID-19 Update
To Our Patients and Families:
We are very excited to begin seeing patients in our office. We are also very committed to supporting our community’s well being by continuing to uphold excellent health and safety standards. In keeping with infection control standards, our office will strictly follow the ADA, CDC and OSHA guidelines.
We would like to alert you to changes you will experience at your child’s next appointment:
We will allow 1 parent or legal guardian to accompany the patient to their appointment. That parent is to wear a mask or covering, that abides by CDC guidelines, at all times while in the office.
Upon arrival we ask that you remain in your vehicle and contact our staff by phone at 816-282-0450. One of our staff members will come and get you when we are ready for your child’s appointment.
Temperatures for both the parent and patient will be taken at the door along with a prescreening questionnaire regarding potential Covid exposure. If there has been possible exposure or fever of over 100 degrees, we will postpone treatment for a minimum of 14 days.
We ask that you please use the restroom prior to the appointment as our facilities will be limited to the public at this time.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing and infection control, which means that you may be offered fewer options for scheduling your appointments.
We will be suspending the distribution of prizes, tablet play, popsicles and balloons temporarily until further notice.
Because we are trying to limit traffic in the office to maintain appropriate social distancing we will ask patients to arrive through our front entrance and be dismissed through our back entrance.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you and every patient safe in our practice.
Sincerely,

Dr Mathew and Staff
COVID-19 UPDATE
In keeping with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we have closed our practice to all patients, except cases of dental emergencies.
We recommend calling the office (816-282-0450) and receiving confirmation of an appointment before arriving. Due to need based coverage, we may not be able to accommodate walk-in patients.
As per guidelines from the County Health Department and other authorities, we plan to return to regular hours on April 6.
Please check the website for any changes that may be made in the future, based on new guidelines to keep our children safe from COVID-19.
Due to inclement weather and for the safety of our patients and staff, Summit Pediatric Dentistry will open at 10 am on Monday, December 16. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please continue to check our page for weather-related updates.

Awesome! - by Nathan T.
Thank you so much! This awesome team got us in same day for my son. He had an immediate need for a crown and they made it happen. They were so accommodating for us and being our first visit. I highly recommend them.
