🚨 CALL TO ACTION: Wound Care Professionals, Patients & Advocates – We Need You! 🚨
I’m proud to serve as a founding board member of the Wound and Hyperbaric Association (WHA), an organization dedicated to “Advancing Excellence in Patient Care & Industry.”
Currently, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services are proposing policy changes that could drastically reduce reimbursement for advanced wound care products — including a flat fee of just $125.38/cm² and restrictive coverage rules (LCDs).
These changes will:
❌ Limit access to essential treatments
❌ Disproportionately hurt rural and underserved communities
❌ Lead to more amputations, infections, and hospitalizations
❌ Increase Medicare costs over time — not save money
💡 Based on Medicare claims data, expert-driven, evidence-based reforms can save over $100 billion in the next 10 years while protecting patient care.
👉 It’s time to speak up and take action — before it's too late.

Tonight, I would like to give a big shout out to my teenage sons. Dad is out of town and I had some big projects to accomplish tonight. They absolutely jumped right in and did all the heavy lifting while I organized. The first big project is moving my home office upstairs so the oldest can move downstairs and have more space and peace this last year at home. The second one was taking out all the built in shelves in my walk-in closet and putting up freestanding customizable shelves for more storage space and flexibility. Both were terrible. We got both done in under 5 hours with their help. Teenage guy friends coming tomorrow night to lift all the heavy furniture upstairs from home office. I am blessed. Thank you, dear sons! Could NOT have done it without you. Feeling ready to take on the week!

When you’re both at the airport headed different directions…safe travels, babe.

Well…maybe I’m crazy…BUT…my oldest son turned 17, and for his birthday he asked to take him and his guy friends to Colorado for a few days. Wish us luck! Here we go!!!

Hello, Florida! CAMPS conference, here we come!

When your oldest born son gets invited to tour Yale and wants to go, you go. Even if you’re not a morning person and you have to get up at 2:30am to catch your flight. Even if you have work to do. Even if he has to miss school for a day. Even if it’s cold at home and cold at Yale. This is our first college tour. My first college tour with any of my children. Yale here we come. Look out!
