One of my couples told me that during their reception, guests kept coming up to ask: is he a friend of yours, or is he working?
It’s not an accident. I think of myself as a guest at the wedding who happens to have a camera. Someone with proximity and trust.
When people forget I’m working and consider me part of the celebration, they stop performing. That’s when the real photos happen.
