Here's a quick explanation of car insurance coverages.

The "full coverage" portion of auto insurance is comprehensive and collision, so if you have "liability only", you typically don't have comprehensive and collision coverage. This means if your vehicle is damaged in an at-fault accident, you would pay for repairs out of pocket.
