MCC has cancelled its Flights of Fancy Mega-Kite Festival, originally scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at the MCC-Longview campus, due to incoming inclement weather.

The college prioritizes the safety of attendees, staff and performers, and made the decision out of an abundance of caution.

Flights of Fancy, a free, family-friendly event and a longtime community tradition, was set to feature giant kites, including a windsock three stories tall and 200 feet long, along with inflatable games, face painting, children’s activities and local food trucks. Q’s: mcckc.edu/kitefest
