Fourscore has been privileged to be one of MANY bands to perform at various places in the Crossroads of Kansas City. Currently, some amazing venues are in trouble of losing their property and their very historic place in the KC music scene if the Royals ballpark moves forward with a downtown location. This is in addition to some wonderful small businesses and restaurants.

When we were first putting together ideas for our upcoming new EP and this single, there was a lot going on. The world was still going through a deadly pandemic, and the country was in the middle of a polarizing election cycle. Our digital spaces where many of us retreated during those isolating times were often filled with misunderstandings and anger. It seemed like our collective reality had been fragmented, and no one was there to pick up the remaining shards. We had contemplated a January 20th release in ‘21, but plans changed and we knew we needed more time to really do justice to pay tribute to the Gary Jules rendition of Mad World. As we got closer to putting things together in the studio and later in the distribution phase, global conflict unfolded again, and again. For the release of our reimagining of this iconic song, we want to remember those whose lives have been forever changed by everything going on in our modern times, however big or small they might seem.
